Wow, so...... CUTE!!!
Time really flies fast... I've been teaching at SJK( C )Mawai since 4 weeks ago. The school is located in a rural area which takes time about half an hour to reach there by car. There are only a sum of 36 primary students and 7 teachers including me. I'm so impressed by the students' politeness. Unlike students in the town, they always greet each other and quite obedient. The primary 1 students are not only cute but also naive. I like them the most.
My task is to teach BC, Mathematics, Science and Music of primary 5 and 6. Furthermore, I also teach Mathematics and P.Moral of primary 1. Undoubtedly, I've managed to gain first-hand experience of formal teaching. Of course, I realise that teaching is not as easy as ABC. Now, I can put myself in the shoes of my previous teachers. Only by now, I understand the obstacles faced by my teachers during their teaching.
Although I'm burdened with a lot of works, I enjoy teaching very much. I'm very satisfied especially when the students can understand and answer the questions well after listening to my teaching. Besides, whenever I present story-telling to primary 1 students, they sit quietly around me and listen carefully. Some of them even volunteer to tell me about their stories in front of the other students. Such activity gets me closer to them. What an effective way of communication!!
My mother always advise me to teach with love, "Be a teacher whom the others respect and not to be afraid of."
